All SEO Is Not Created Equally - New

SEO is not a "Search Engine Blast" or automatically submitting to hundreds or thousands of search engines and/or directories regularly or just once.   It is never automated at all.  It is not turning the project over to your son-in-law that is "really good at computers".  It is not "buying" first page search results for "X" amount per specific keyword.  It never costs $29.95 or even $100.00.  It is not back hat, white hat, secret or proprietary.  SEO is simply work.  Work that follows very specific rules applied by hands on experience.

Hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, of businesses now have websites.  Just like you, they all want their website to generate revenues either directly or by finding customers.  When it comes to doing business on the Internet, at least one rule is exactly the same as the rule in the brick and mortar world, "What makes your website stand out from all the others".

Just like for your physical place of business, someone has to find your website before they can become a customer.  Just like in the "real" world, there are many ways to help potential customers find you.  There are all the traditional methods plus new ways such as email campaigns, sponsored advertising (such as Google's Adwords) and, what this website is all about, first page search results.  First page search results should be the foundation of any Internet marketing.

"Organic" or "Natural" Search Results In Google, Yahoo, MSN ...  

It doesn't matter to the search engines whether you sell pizza, fix refrigerators or do face lifts, the mechanics are the same.  Search engines index your website looking for key words that more or less define your website.  Seldom does this process involve a human being.  A website structured to help this automated process will rank higher than competitor websites.

Page One Search Results 


On today's Internet, if you are not on page one of the search results, you might as well be invisible.  Legitimate search engine optimization, done completely and consistently, will achieve page one results.  Legitimate SEO does not attempt to trick a search engine into ranking a page one ranking, but helps it rank a website on page one.  The key to making SEO work over the long haul is to play it straight.  But just do it thoroughly  and consistently.  In most ways, making your website search engine friendly runs parallel to making it visitor friendly.  You can count the differences on one hand.

You can always tell a business most likely to succeed.  The owner recognizes, embraces and implements ideas that build that business not just for the short run, but the long run.  Marketing using search engine optimization is a long term investment .  For web sites on today's Internet, first page search results are not an option.  First page search results are imperative.

Link Building 


Incoming links are essential to higher placement in search results

Links from search engines, web sites, blogs, directories, forums, etc. in a related business group generally improve search results with search engines.  The more legitimate links coming into your site from industry related, relevant websites, the higher you will generally appear in the search results.  This is the one of the ways search engines measure "popularity".
 
On the other hand, links from other sites unrelated to your business may actually hurt search engine ranking.  If you "pay" for links, and the search engines catch you at it, you can wind up banned altogether.
 
For clients of our search engine optimization services, exchanging links is one of several methods used in the link building process.  It is an ongoing process over the course of the one year effort, done manually, one link at a time.  We never use "automated" link building software.  Our entire process is "gimmick free".

Certainly, much effort is focused on link building by submitting your website to search engines and directories.  This too is manual submission.

Virtually the entire link building process is manual.  As you can imagine, this makes link building incredibly time consuming.  To obtain and keep first page search results, doing it this way ensures real and legitimate incoming links.  It is certainly more expensive than the "search engine blast" or "automated submission" gimmicks, but the primary difference is that manual link building works.
